On The Move Insurance Agency, LLC was founded to provide Self-Storage or Mobile Storage Owners, Operators, and Management Companies with industry-specific insurance products. We offer property and casualty insurance from carriers that understand Self-Storage. Our carriers recognize the low rebuilding cost and minimal foot traffic of a typical facility. Their rates reflect it, which allows our insurance specialists to offer the best Property and Casualty coverage at the most competitive rates.
Our groundbreaking Contractual Liability Insurance Policy (CLIP) is underwritten by one of the strongest syndicates of Lloyd’s of London. A CLIP allows operators to fully insure the risk of our industry-leading Tenant Protection Program, SecureLease. Our CLIP offers the finest terms offered at the most competitive rates allowing facilities the best value in tenant protection to their customers. Our policy terms are generous enough to cover the risk of any existing Tenant Protection Program.
On The Move insurance Agency, LLC is a subsidiary of On The Move, Inc. On The Move, LLC was established in Dearborn, Michigan, in 1992. As a long-time Self-Storage owner, founder Maury Westerdale recognized the need for a turnkey truck rental program that allowed the Self-Storage owner/operator to set their own rates and advertise their company at the same time. On The Move, Inc. has grown into the fourth largest truck rental fleet in the United States.

Meet Our Staff
Jacquelyn Nash SR. ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Jacquelyn grew up around the Self-Storage industry. Her family owned multiple properties over the years as well as operating On The Move, Inc. since the early 90s. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Immediately after graduating, she came on board at On The Move Insurance Agency and has helped the agency grow to insuring over 1,700 self-storage facilities nationwide, including 10% of the ISS Top 100 operators. When she’s not at the office or on the road visiting clients, Jacquelyn enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, visiting escape rooms and hanging out with her two Shar Pei pups, Cash and Gracie. Fall is her favorite time of year because September brings about football season, she spends her Sundays cheering for the Detroit Lions.
Rand Racey ACCOUNT MANAGER
Rand was born and raised in Baker City, Oregon and graduated form Baker High School. Upon graduation, he accepted a position in supermarket management with Albertson’s.
That turned into a twenty-year stint in supermarket management and for a time, he both managed a store and marketed insurance and securities products. Rand has also managed a large self-storage operation in North Austin for six quarters before leaving following his wife’s job to Henderson, Nevada. They came back to Texas 10 years ago and he began working as a Commercial Lines Account Manager with a broad client base transcending many different industry sectors. He takes pride in matching the best coverage to his client’s needs and always putting their best interests first.
Rand enjoys hiking, caving, and attending Texas A&M sporting events. His daughter is in her second year at A&M College Station majoring in their Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences program.
